Supa Dupa Rugby Round-up with Francois “The Last Maharajah” Badenhorst

Andrew Hore Andrew Hore of the Hurricanes poses during the 2011 Super Rugby Season Launch at The Auckland Museum on February 8, 2011 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Hey there. You want some Super Rugby? Oh okay then buddy.

Round 15 kicked off in Wellington with the Hurricanes beating the Force 34 – 28. The ‘Canes were lucky, however, they snatched the W with two late tries; the last one coming after the hooter. In other news, Andrew Hore has amazing sideburns. The Lions! Oh yes! They won AGAIN. Yes siree they went and beat the Highlanders with a last gasp try to make the final score 26 – 22. I couldn’t believe it to tell the truth but the Lions don’t give a f**k these days; Butch James in particular is making a big difference for the Jo’Burg guys.Over on the world’s biggest floating turd, better known as Australia, the Stormers compounded the Brumbies misery and grinded out a 16 – 3 victory in Canberra. Well, grinded out is being a bit kind but since they played so well against the Blues last week I’ll give them a stay of execution. You’ve been warned Stormers.

The other game played in Oz was a heavyweight contest between the pack leading Reds and the Crusaders. The game continued round 15’s last minute winner trend with Quade Cooper kicking a winning penalty after 80 minutes to win the game 17 – 16 for the Reds. Good news is that it was Richie McCaw that gave away the winning penalty; bad news is that Quade Cooper was the match winner (Highlights below)...

The first game played on South African soil last weekend was the game between the Sharks and the Waratahs. The Sharkies won it 26 – 21 but they had a shocking first half and for 60 minutes they looked in real danger of losing the match..

The best game of game of the weekend was between the Cheetahs and the Bulls, the game ended 32 – 21 to the Bulls but the Cheetahs deserve all the credit for the type of rugby they play. They love to party, they really do. I’ve never seen a team with such lust for just having a crack and it’s just f**king delightful. I love the Cheetahs and their wiley ways more than I do my own mother. That’s right, I said it.OMG.. It is done. I can’t believe it. Someone sing to me in the twilight
